About Us

Broke International Kids

Broke International Kids was founded in Los Angeles in 2026 around a straightforward idea: that the clothes people actually wear every day deserve the same attention usually reserved for the clothes they wear once.

The name is a joke we decided to keep. It started as shorthand between friends — a description of a particular kind of person, everywhere at once and permanently short on money, dressed better than their bank balance suggests. The label grew out of that. It is not about scarcity. It is about taste arriving before the means to fund it.

What we make

Premium basics, built heavy. Boxy tees at 240 GSM. Hoodies at 450 GSM brushed-back French terry. Long sleeves cut for layering. Every piece is garment-dyed in small lots and washed before it leaves the factory, so what arrives is already broken in rather than waiting to be.

We keep the range tight on purpose. A small number of pieces, made properly, revisited each season rather than replaced.

Made in Los Angeles

Everything is cut and sewn within a short drive of the studio. That is partly practical — we can walk into the factory and look at a seam — and partly a decision about how we want to work. Short supply chains mean small runs, fast corrections, and no guessing about conditions.

The photography

Shot in a daylight studio in LA, on people we know, in the clothes as they are actually worn. No retouching of the garments. What is in the images is what arrives in the box.
